Skin Care Routine
The aim of Skin Care Routine is to keep the skin healthy and balanced in terms of texture, glow and moisture levels.

Taking Care of Normal Skin:
The normal skin has a fine texture, healthy glow and no open pores. It rarely develops shiny areas or spots. It has a good balance of oil and moisture levels naturally. The normal skin care routine must involve removal of all make up followed by cleansing, toning and moisturizing to prevent building up of sebum and will ensure optimum moisture level of your skin. The steps to be followed are as follows:
Remove all make up including those on eyes with an appropriate make-up remover to avoid any damage to your eyes and also to open the clogged skin pores.
Wash your face with a mild cleanser and clean water. Massage your face while applying the cleanser so that it may stimulate the blood flow to your skin.
Use a soft towel to pat your face dry. Do not rub your face as it may irritate your skin.
Use an appropriate facial toner to make your skin feel refreshed.
Apply a good moisturizer to your face and lightly massage to finish off.

Taking Care of Dry skin:
The main aim of dry skin care routine is to restore and retain the moisture level of the skin. Skin may dry due to low levels of sebum production or secretion and little moisture in the upper layers of the skin. Dry skin tends to give a flaky look. People with dry skin may develop wrinkles and fine lines early in age. The steps to be followed in dry skin care are as follows:
Use oil-based make up remover to remove all the facial make-up and clean your face. The oil based formula will soothe the dry regions of your face.
Use a creamy cleanser to wash your face.
Pat your face dry with a soft towel and do not rub your face as it may irritate the skin.
Avoid using toner if you have an extremely dry skin, otherwise may use alcohol free toner.
Moisturize your skin with a creamy moisturizer and massage well to let the moisturizer soak in to your skin and form a protective layer to prevent drying.

Taking care of Oily Skin:
The main aim of oily skin care is to reduce the oil production and acne outbreaks.
The oily skin has oily skin surface and open pores causing an increase chance of developing acnes, blackheads and pimples. Oily skin is due to over-active sebaceous gland leading to excessive oil production. Stress, hormonal imbalance, heredity or faulty lifestyle can be the cause for excessive sebum production.

The best way to keep an oily skin healthy is to clean the oil from the skin surface. Water forms the most essential part of the cleaning process because alone washing with water can make the skin smooth and soft. The steps to be followed for oily skin care are as follows:
Use appropriate make-up remover to clean your face.
Use cream-free cleanser to remove all dirt and excess oil.
Splash water on your face every time your skin feels oily to feel fresh.
Use astringent toners to make your face soft and smooth.
Choose a light moisturizer and massage your face to finish off.

Taking care of Combination skin:
A combination skin type has got both oily and dry patches on different parts of the face. Hence the main aim for caring a combination skin type requires balancing both these areas. Thus the skin care routine will be a combination of both.
Removing the make up is the primary step. Use oil based product and then wash your face with cool water to remove the excess oil.
Use an appropriate cleanser for facial cleaning. Massage gently to wash the dirt and oil.
Use appropriate toner or two different toners for two different skin surfaces on your face.
Moisturize your skin with a mild moisturizer to make your skin appear soft and supple.

Taking care of the Sensitive Skin:
The sensitive skin as the name suggest may be prone to irritation and allergies to some external factors or products. The skin has a fine texture and gives a very pinkish appearance. The principle for sensitive skin care routine should be to choose extra gentle skin care products. Caution should be taken while applying make-up. Harsh chemicals and stubborn make-up can damage the skin. The steps to be followed are as follows:
Remove the make-up with extra gentle remover.
Clean the face using cleanser lotion and splash the face with water.
Avoid using soaps, facial bars and toners.
Use a mild moisturizer to make the face feel comfortable as dryness can be irritating for sensitive skin.
Avoid using scented products as the smell could be irritating sometimes.

Eat protein at every meal, including breakfast.
Eliminate wheat- and flour-based products for the time being.
Reduce starch to one portion a day, and don't eat that portion during your evening meal.
Apples, pears, plums and berries all are good choices. Bananas are not.
Reduce or eliminate dairy for the time being, especially cow's milk.
