Until a few years back, the very idea of fair skin for men in India
would have raised quite a few eyebrows. But times have changed, and a
large number of Indian men are desperate to be fairer and look good, and
are therefore looking for methods and way for getting fairer skin.
While men with fair skin often have every bit as much trouble keeping it
clean, clear, and healthy as women with fair skin do, there are not
nearly as many clean and fair skin tips for men as there are for women.
Still a few suggestions can be listed which can help men to get clean,
healthy, fairer and glowing skin. The four major tips are cleanliness,
hygiene, moisturization, nutrition and protection from sun.
Cleanliness and Hygiene

bath before going to bed to remove any dirt and grime that may have
accumulated during the day.

In general, drying of skin due to age or other factors like low moisture

moisturizer after bath or before going to bed will help in forming a
coat over the skin and help in retaining its moisture.
Try to avoid foods high in sugars, fats, and oils. Prefer foods like
fresh fruits, vegetables, low fat milk & milk product, whole grain
cereals and nuts, which are rich in proteins, vitamins, minerals,
antioxidants and fiber. This will help your skin remain clear naturally
and also help repair environmental damage.
Protection from Sun
Men with fair skin are far more susceptible to sunburn than those with
higher levels of melanin in their skin. Use a moisturizer with sunscreen
in it during the day, and consider wearing a hat to keep the sun off
your face. You should apply sunscreen to all exposed areas of your body,
not just your face. Sunglasses will also help prevent the formation of
dark circles around your eyes by adding a layer of protection to the
skin in that area. Stay away from excessive sunlight as much as
