PLEASE
NOTE:
-
Immunization
can be given in the presence of minor illness.
-
After
the immunization reactions are usually mild.
-
BCG.
– A nodule appears at 3-4 weeks. No application
or fomentation is necessary it heals leaving a
scar indication effective vaccination.
-
DPT
– There may be mild fever, pain, redness and
swelling at the site of injection. A small
painless lump may remain for few weeks. For Fever
and pain paracetamol syrup may be given.
-
Measles
/ MMR – A few children get fever 4-10 days after
vaccination.
